Black mold (stachybotys) allergy can be deadly (especially to children that suffer from all kind of allergies, including mold) if not treated in time. The toxicity of black mold has been debated in different instances, all over the place. However, it seems that scientists managed to prove that it’s not recommended to be directly exposed to this type of mold for more than several minutes because otherwise you are going to experience plenty of unpleasant symptoms that might be caused by the allergy that you just got for being in contact with it for a longer period than always. The contamination with black mold or toxic mold has been buzzing people from different societies for many years already. However, it seems that the southern part of USA has been one of the most affected regions of the Northern American in general, when talking about the presence of black mold. Even the tiniest water leak somewhere in your wall can be enough for the toxic mold to start developing with a very high speed. Nevertheless, it seems that there are plenty of people out there who doubt it and it looks like more and more people are getting serious allergies because of mold and of course becomes of their stubbornness and ignorance. It’s time to wake up and face the consequences of your actions if you don’t understand how important staying away from black mold really is. It is toxic people and if you don’t want to understand this you will have constant health problems!

So how are people affected by black mold allergy after all? Well, the thing is that most part of the “contact” occurs in the air and sometimes you might not even notice it. However, you will, just in few days after. You need to be aware that mold spores are continuously released by the mold clusters the very first moment the black type of mold that we are talking about here began to appear in homes or any other buildings that suffered from a recent water leakage or flood. These mold spores are contagious and can become airborne pretty quickly. Do you understand how this works? I guess you do, because getting how a person can become allergic to mold isn’t rocket science, especially if you have any basic idea about the nature of mold itself and realize why and where it can occur. Mold spores can travel anywhere and everywhere as long as there is a good air conditioning or ventilation system to take care of their movement through the air. The more you sit still in a room that has some kind of airing, the more you can be exposed to these mold spores that might come to the offices of a skyscraper for example directly from its wet basement that suffered a serious flood several weeks ago. A person who either suffers from chronic asthma or is generally predisposed to allergies of various kinds (flowers, pollen, etc) can find a home infested by black toxic mold pretty lethal if judging things from a toxicity point of view. It can really kill!

Unfortunately, often the only reliable solution to get rid of the mold in a certain building after trying hundreds of various methods that doesn’t seem to work is just using a powerful bulldozer, demolish it, clean everything and start building everything from the beginning. While this might not be real for people with a middle level income, big companies do it when buying old houses and places where they plan to build new well done offices and realize that the old construction is seriously suffering from mold of different types. One should understand that the allergy caused by black mold is pretty serious and might require a lot of investment to be treated. That’s why if you have no clue how to get rid of it you might be required to do a little bit of research on the previous articles here on my blog. Remember that no matter what methods you find, everything is individual and certain testing and experimenting is still going to be required! I don’t really recommend to begin demolishing your house in order to get rid of the main causes that might be the reason of your black mold allergy, but the least you can do would be to stop any existent water leakages and to make sure that both your bathroom, basement or garage is dry (especially when talking about your house). Otherwise you might have to deal with a never-ending source of black mold directly under your house. Remember, black mold is really toxic. It is called stachybotys and NO it is not that green type of mold that has a musty odor and is found on bread on cheese. It looks even worse and smells differently.

There are certain symptoms that come together with most black mold allergies that one might need to know. These are coughing blood, dizziness, bleeding of your nose, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, respiratory issues and difficulties in breathing, skin irritation and rashes, memory loss, pulmonary hemorrhage (internal lung bleeding) and of course death (if no measures are taken and you continue to leave in a black mold infested room a very long period of time).

I guess these are the most important things that a beginner might need to know about black mold allergy. Take your time and study everything careful. Even if the probabilities that you will have to deal with it are very low, nothing is going to happen to you if you know a little bit more about it.
